| Introduction | I'm a software engineer by trade, but my passion is IRCF (endangered reptile conservation) and wildlife photography. I live in Redondo Beach with my green iguana Darby, rhinocerous iguana Xan and bearded dragon Yucca. In 2007, I lost my 11 year old iguana Vega$ to illness; 2008, bearded dragon Daytona. I do a lot of travel, but mainly for IRCF. It sometimes gets complicated juggling the day job with the fun job. I also have been fortunate to travel to Grand Cayman and Guatemala for efforts with the GC Blue Iguana and the Guat. Beaded Lizard. In the two trips to Cayman, I volunteered at the captive facility, performed radio-tracking, participated in a release, nesting observation and various tasks. In Guatemala, I visited newly purchased habitat (with our partners Zoo Atlanta and Zootropic); was fortunate to hold a wild--caught young Guat. Black Iguana which was scheduled for release and to touch a captive Guat. Beaded Lizard. Very satisfied that I can make a difference in helping to stave off extinction for the species we are helping. |
