Introduction Wendy Lader is the Vice President of Telecommunications Policy at the New York City Economic Development Corporation (EDC), where she coordinates EDC’s telecom efforts and implementation of the recommendations in the Mayor’s Telecommunications Plan for New York City released in April 2005. Prior to EDC, Wendy was a Senior Policy Analyst and Senior Policy Advisor at the U.S. Department of Commerce's National Telecommunications and Information Administration (NTIA) on telecommunications and technology policy issues. She also served as an Attorney-Advisor at the Federal Communications Commission. Following law school and a federal clerkship, Wendy practiced telecommunications law at Spiegel & McDiarmid, a Washington DC law firm serving municipalities and municipal utilities. Wendy graduated from Harvard University and received her law degree from the University of Pennsylvania.
