Ed Wright

About Me

Dr. Ed Wright retired as the Dean and CEO of Florida State University’s regional campus in Panama City, Florida, in August 2005. He received his undergraduate degree in political science and economics from the University of Southern Mississippi and earned his Ph.D. in Government from Georgetown University. During his nearly six-year tenure the FSU-PC campus experienced unprecedented growth in its academic programs, enrollment and public/private funding. Dr. Wright has taught at the United States Air Force Academy, the University of Colorado’s Graduate School of Public Affairs, and at Colorado State University in Pueblo, Colorado where he also served as Dean of the College of Humanities and Social Sciences and as Associate Provost. He has published work in the areas of presidential decision making and public policy. His government service includes work in the Office of the Secretary of Defense, the National Security Council staff at the White House and as the Special Assistant for National Security Affairs to the U.S. Attorney General.
