About Me

My family has >40 years, 3 generations influenced by Maharishi & teachings. Observed others' psychosis, suicides & morbidities. A 1966 child initiate in the Olson home, raised in the TMOrg as a "Child of the Age of Enlightenment," as a teen I cared for the younger kids, helped to establish MIU Prep (later MSAE). I loved my enmeshed community! Despite pressure, I refused teenage TTC because Initiators ceased laughing & I preferred blue jeans over sarees. To avoid TTC, I married young and began a family in Fairfield. We lived typical devotee "life in Support of Nature" with financial instability, building domes, raising children, bankruptcy. In 1988 I convinced my then-husband to leave FF. It took several years to learn life outside TM paradigm. Unbrainwashing was painful. Both in-law families continued with TM (& other groups), making it difficult to leave the faux-mindset. Some TM now-grown "kids" continue through my home for an outsider connection. We CAN have victorious lives after TM! For old TM buddies, I'd love to hear from you! Click here for 2005 family photo (how kids grow!).
