| Introduction | By faith I am a Christian. My degree is in Early Childhood Education. My occupation is that of a Communicator. My job as a mother is winding down now that my daughter has graduated from high school. Once upon a time my hobbies would have included reading, needlepoint, cooking, dancing and hiking. Now it seems that my main hobby is being a patient. I heard that healthwise after 40 things go downhill fast and that certainly has been the case for me. The first diagnosis came at the age of 42 when I was told that I had Long QT Syndrome. Then in rapid sucession came Breast Cancer, Lymphedema, Recurrent Cellulitis, Anterior Lateral Ischemia, GERD, Arthritis,Hypothyroidism, Metabolic Syndrome, Primary Hyperaldosteronism and now Obstructive Sleep Apnea. I think that's the whole list, but I might have forgotten one or two of the less believeable dx. My fears and frustrations and triumphs regarding this is what fills up most of my posts. The other main topics I have are my job and my children and my grandchildren who are the loves of my life. |
