You've got to make contact with the alien leader. How will you tell when the conversation is finished?
He would have either left or blew us up because I was still talking.
Interests
- Peace and Quiet
- Rainy Days and Mondays
- long walks on the beach
- computing
- interpretative dance
- spending time with my beloved capuchin
- oh yeah and trying to survive the glamorous world of AIDS. A good Video game epic (Elder Scrolls Oblivion for one)
- all things tech
- raising my beloved Brown capped capuchin monkey
- trying to recapture the excitement of being part of the Internet community before it all went mainstream. Been online since 1992 with AOL 1.5 then moved on to the vast Internet and sex chat rooms got to be a snore and my "stardom/Fame" began to burn out after 13 years in the International Model then using my established career to become a spokes model in the mid 90's for HIV/AIDS and being accused of glamorizing this damn disease. Now after pulling the plug and disconnecting from all things tech around 9/11 and a bought with some serious illness or O.I.'s I am always slowly trying to keep a blog/journal/ online presence to network with others. But it is hard some times.
Favorite Movies
- Intense
- Suspense
- Mystery
- Action
- and Love stories of all kinds. My dinner with Andre
- E.T.- has to be my favorite of all time. ET
- High Anxiety
- The Women
- truth or dare
- the usual suspects
- love Epics. In my realm of TV
- Documentaries rule for most of my Attention. The Today show and The View have been a daily part of my routine since Jan 1
- 2000 when I made a New years resolution to become more informed. I marvel at all things called or viewed as reality TV. The Idea we would find catching pedophiles under cover camera caught as their lives are essentially destroyed for the world to see and we find entertaining is baffling. Or the spoiled and disrespectful rich youth documented on MTV's Sweet 16 is another show I can think of where I am laughing out loud but at the same time stunned at what I see and hear. Reality shows like American Idol
- Project Runway
- Pussy cat dolls
- Top model are basically masquerading as popularity contests instead of what they claim to be in search of. Over the years the audience becomes fickle and bored and producers of such shows realize if they don't have A or B then they resort to C. Which sadly stands for demeaning and public humiliation for our enjoyment. This too makes me think as to what we find entertaining as a people and/or nation. That was a bit heavy but my POV. History
- Discovery
- Tech TV channels
- Self-help improvement shows
- and all things I should have learned in High School but instead goofed off. Shows I cannot miss or feel addicted to be the usual suspects like- Big Brother every summer
- The L Word- before it would be Queer as folk. As for situation comedy is 30 rock on TV today. Then ending my week with such delectable deserts of recap shows like The Soup
- Best Week ever
- and Daily Colbert report etc.
Favorite Music
- Anything with a pulse. Madonna
- Britney
- House
- Worship
- all things with a beat...A God given talent of rhythm and I is a dancer. Music is and always will be an escape for me emotionally
- physically
- and spiritually. Expressing myself through the words from a particular song can sum up what I am feeling in a 4-minute sound byte for that moment in time. My younger years it was through DANCE. Self-expression to the intense beat of the drums and the pounding of the base on a crowded dance floor specifically the "Gay Party Circuit 90's style" as the original Queen of the Desert-Palm springs Easter weekend. Is or was the crowded packed dance floor was the church and the DJs were the priests. My connection to God was "then" so very powerful and that was even more profound after experiencing the latter part of the 90's clean and sober. So sloppy are the drunkards. So to sum it up I love all MUSIC. Here is a list of some of those "priests" I mentioned above. Check them out on your music service. Gays are so creative and have the best music hands down. www.djsanddivas.com www.djkimberlys.com www.djmannylehman.com www.ralphirosario.com www.djpaulo.com www.djdeleon.com www.djnineteen69.com www.djkiokio.com www.werkitentertainment.com Michael buble' for the nice and easy groove
Favorite Books
- A bit ashamed to admit I am not or never have been an avid reader. Like I said before paying attention in High School meant reading
- memorizing etc. I know now my A.D.H.D. did hinder my ability to concentrate. To this day when others say pick up a good book or did you read such and such I cannot relate. When seeing book clubs discussing characters and plots of the book they all read I intrigued at what each of them took away from reading a certain book but for the life of me have not been able to myself visualize or be so literally obsessed with a book. My solution would always be wait for the movie if the book was so incredible
- but I cringe when others say after such a movie is produced via screenplay
- OH the book was so much better. Sorry don't get it. I don't get it at all. I am a very visually stimulated individual but I don't like pornography in print or in motion. However trying to find sites like this one and others where there are so many viewpoints
- ideas
- concepts
- and most important AGE defined areas of entertainment
- books may be taking a second seat. I just remembered I did read one book front to back and laugh if you must but it was the Bible
