| Introduction | A friend of mine once told me that for closed-up, self-protected people blogging is practice for real life. I've been blogging for several years now and I believe what she said is true. This is where I can practice how to state my ideas and opinions. This world of writing and ideas and community gave me permission to be, well, the real me. Well, sort of. Now I'm moving on to morphing this into something which may or may not be fully fact or fiction. In a way this isn't a true blog -- more of an ongoing novel that is being made up on the fly.
