About Me

Let’s get this out there first and foremost. I’m not a stat geek, a baseball player, or even a former baseball player. Truth be told I’ve never played a game of organized baseball in my life. There are reasons for this, but most are trumped by my mother hating baseball and refusing to sign me up. The closest I ever got to a bat was the faux sheen on the background of my 1987 Donruss MLB card set. I played other sports well enough in high school to not embarrass myself often, and graduated in 2001 to the University of Georgia, where embarrassing yourself while playing intramural sports was acceptable so long as you'd been drinking- most often I had been. This trip is not sponsored (yet) nor am I well off, and as such will be camping and eating food heated on a gas stove I’ve brought with me when I'm not staying on some kind soul’s couch who was unfortunate enough to know me in the past. I like to think I write better than I do, am better looking than I am, and funnier than the courtesy laughs I get suggest.
