This is to inform all concerned companies/groups/individuals that Greenfield Developement Corporation will be hosting a morning running event on May 29,2011, Sunday, called the GREENFIELD CITY CLEAN AIR RUN at Greenfield City, Sta. Rosa. The event is announced in advance to notify everyone that some of the roads will be used for the event. also, this is to inform everyone tht volume of trffic is expected to increase on that day. A. CHRISTMAS PARTY

SJV HOA will be holding it's Annual Christmas Party on December 11, 2010, 6:00 pm at the Village Park. The affair, entitled "Our Village, Through the Years" will be a night of fun, sharing and friendly interaction among friends and neighbors.

We are looking for "TALENTS" residing in our village and interested parties can proceed to the Village admin for registration. Attractive prizes will be given to the winners.

B. GARAGE SALE (DECEMBER 11, 2010)

Interested Homeowners are requested to register now with the administration office. Outside concessionaire/retailers are also welcome. Merchandise will be screened and will be on a come first serve basis.

C. CHRISTMAS SEASON AND LONG VACATION REMINDERS

It's important to remember that when leaving home, especially for extended period of time such as a vacation, you take extra precautions to ensure your home is just safe when you return.

PLEASE CONSIDER THE FOLLOWING REMINDERS:

1. Make sure electrical system is not being over-load. This can cause fire.
2. Inspect wires. If you find any worn or exposed wiring from an appliance, discontinue the use.
3. Keep appliance unplugged when not in use.
4. Keep an all-purpose fire extinguisher in your kitchen.
5. Avoid using substandard Christmas light in decorating your home.
6. Be vigilant in locking your doors and windows before you leave your home.

D. CONSTRUCTION ACTIVITIES

In the advent of this Christmas season and the series of declared holidays (legal and special non-working holidays) please be advised that construction, repairs and any other similar maintenance activities will NOT BE ALLOWED FROM DECEMBER 24, 2010 (FRIDAY) TO JANUARY 2, 2011 (SUNDAY). Construction ativities and similar works resume January 3, 2011.

E. GRASS CUTTING ALTERNATIVE

As part of our cost saving initiatives and search for cheaper and safe methods like in our grass cutting operations, we will be using ROUNDUP HERBICIDE weed killer. It is safe, economical and environmentally friendly. The spray application of ROUNDUP will kill the weed from tip to roots allowing only minimal and isolated growth of weeds.

Events In and Around SJV3: Lasallian Sports Camp 2009

Since the beginning, different La Salle schools have engaged in a biennial inter-school competition where one school earns the 1st place, another the 2nd place and another the 3rd place. This practice has indeed developed standards of gameplay and several other ideals that one can draw from any sport. Aside from this, other La Salle schools gain awareness and appreciation of other La Salle schools, but most especially of the host school.

For the first time in the history of Lasallian sports, sense of competition and rivalry have been removed from these sports events. Instead we have a new concept: Sports Camp. Dubbed as the “Lasallian Sports Camp” for the grade school division, winners of each game will not anymore be given trophies or points. They will instead gain friendship and develop the spirit of “coopetition” (from "One Animo: The Spirit of the Game", 2008). No overall winners will be proclaimed, but rather just let the participants savor the learning experience of each game.

This year, 2009, the first Lasallian Sports Camp is going to be held at De La Salle Canlubang. With its vast green campus, the participants will definitely see the event more of a sports camp rather than a competition.

The Lasallian Sports Camp 2009 will be held at the De La Salle Canlubang (DLSC) campus from October 25 to 28, 2009.

Caritas Don Bosco School is celebrating it's foundation day from January 30 to February 1, 2009.

A brief history of Caritas Don Bosco School

CARITAS DON BOSCO SCHOOL.
The congregation of the Caritas Sisters of Miyazaki was founded by Italian priests belonging to the Salesians of Don Bosco in 1937 in Miyazaki Japan. The founder, Fr. Antonio Cavoli and co-founder, Fr. Vincent Cimatti named the congregation "Caritas" because it started with the love and concern for the poor people. The love and self-sacrificing work of the Caritas sisters for the abandoned won the hearts of many non-Catholics and led them to God. The small need blossom into a fruitful tree that has spread its missionary presence in 11 countries with around 500 Japanese sisters and 500 Koreans.

As related by Sr. Teresa Tanaka, finance officer of Caritas Don Bosco School (CDBS), it was in 1992 that their founder's dream was realized. The first work offered to them was to set up a school in response to the growing needs of the new community in Laguna Technopark.

It was the Salesian community who offered them the parcel of land situated at the junction of Sta. Rosa and Binan, Laguna. As a result, a co-educational school was established in 1994.

We named it Caritas Don Bosco School because of the fact that the Salesians were the once who offered us the land, related Sr. Tanaka. But she stressed that their administration does not follow that Don Bosco educational system.

We are operating independently, the Caritas sisters are the one's who are handling the affairs and administration of CDBS, reiterates Sr. Tanaka.

The CDBS had a very humble beginnings consisting of 21 pre-schoolers and three Caritas sisters together with two lay teachers.

The three Caritas sisters are fortunate enough when they arrived in the country. Since, the land donated to us was still bare we don't have a place to start our school. It was a good thing that the homeowners of Santarosa Village, a village within the vicinity of our land, offered us their Multi-purpose Hall. It was really difficult because we really have to start from scratch, but in spite of the inconvenience of incomplete facilities, with the help of the parents and people in the village, the school had a good start, further relates Sr. Tanaka.

The school started with less than 50 students and staff. But as further related by Sr. Tanaka, they are brimming with joy and pride, for this coming school year the very first batch of students who trusted them with their education will be graduating from high school.

Now we are very proud that we were able to put up with the expectations of the Filipinos. We now have seven buildings and a chapel named Stella Maris. All these we offer for the students for their holistic formation, shares Sr. Tanaka.

In accordance with their mission, the Caritas Sisters of Miyazaki commit themselves to animate and impart their service to the people. They also commit themselves to animate the community by proclaiming the love of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, with Mary as their guide.

Dear Fellow Homeowners and Villagers,

Time to relax dine and sing your heart out as we get together for a Family Christmas Night on December 20, 2008. This Christmas community get-together will be an experience different from the past as we will gather on the nostalgia of the seventies in the middle of a well-lighted oval park.

To make our party livelier and bring home memories to our young the history of our music, art and fashion, everybody is enjoined to be in the 70's outlook like John Travolta and Annie Batungbakal and sing and dance with the music of swing and salsa. The Socio-Cultural Committee is coming up with special awards fot the outstanding male and female of the night. And the night main attraction would be the lighting of the 10-feet ECO CHRISTMAS TREE that would be build through everybody's concerted efforts to donate empty bottles of mineral water to the clubhouse.

Ticket cost P150.00 per head or P500.00 for a family of four (4) which can buy from the designated members of the Christmas Party Committee 2008. The amount of the ticket basically goes to the cost of food. Other expenses for this activity shall be subsidized by the Association.

We are all excited to have this "Family Christmas Night" come December 20. We love to have everyone around! See you then.
